Employment law continues to evolve, and with further changes on the horizon, staying informed is becoming increasingly important for businesses managing people, policies and workplace responsibilities.
On 10th November 2026, BHETA will host its latest employment law update webinar in partnership with Howes Percival, giving members the opportunity to hear directly from employment law specialists about the changes ahead and what they could mean for employers.
The session will be led by Graham Irons, Employment Law Partner at Howes Percival, and his team. Known for delivering practical, jargon-free seminars, Graham will provide an update on the Employment Rights Act and its continuing implementation.
One of the key areas covered will be the upcoming change to unfair dismissal rights. From 1st January 2027, employees are due to gain unfair dismissal rights after six months' service, making it particularly important for employers to understand what the change could mean for their organisation and employment practices.
The webinar will also look at recent employment tribunal cases, exploring the lessons employers can take from them and how these developments can inform day-to-day HR and employment decisions.
With employment legislation continuing to develop, the session is designed to give BHETA members a clearer understanding of the changes and practical considerations for their businesses.
