
Retailers selling essential home items are allowed to open by the Government during the lockdown.Many had closed to protect their staff and the public, but some have started re-opening following strict social distancing procedures.As of 12 noon on the 30 April this is the current situation, to the best of our knowledge, based on published information on each company website.Open throughout the lockdown:

DIY chains:
- B&Q has reopened all of its estate
- Homebase has reopened 70 stores by 29th April and all remaining stores will re-open from Saturday 2nd May
- Wickes has re-opened six stores on Thursday 30th April as part of a trial
- Toolstation open for click and collect and delivery
- Screwfix open for click and collect and delivery
Trade:
- City Plumbing/PTS has 290 branches open for click and collect
- Travis Perkins has branches open for click and collect or delivery for trade accounts only
- Howdens has selected branches open for click and collect or delivery for trade accounts
- Jewsons started phased re-opening on 27 April for click and collect or delivery. We estimate around half of branches are open by the 30th April.
- Wolseley. Open for click and collect only and delivery. Has 41 branches closed out of an estate of around 600
