Visy, a specialist in sustainable packaging and storage solutions, has joined BHETA.
The company was established in Shepperton, Australia, in 1948 when founder Leon Pratt came up with an idea to replace heavy wooden crates that transported apples with lighter, sturdier cardboard boxes. That spirit of innovation still drives the company today. Since then, they’ve grown into Australia’s largest processor of kerbside recycling and a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions – but proudly remain an Australian family-owned business. With 7,000 employees across 150 sites, they’re powering the circular economy by closing the loop on materials through recycling and remanufacturing.
Visy Retail Services UK, established in 2016, is based in Northampton and offers a wide range of products, both branded and own-label, for retail and trade customers. In 2023, the company acquired Zenexus, a specialist in supplying and supporting retail and DIY outlets across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Supply chain management is the company’s core strength, with options including direct container delivery, store delivery, or B2C fulfilment. Products are proudly manufactured by Visy in own factories, using 100% recycled materials. They include 'Tread' floor protection, moving boxes, and 'Paper Bubble' wrap.
The 'FlexiStorage' brand of home decor products includes extensive choices of decorative storage, shelving, furniture, and cube storage, which has a huge range of complementary on-trend inserts. The storage offer continues to more functional spaces with the 'Handy' and 'RACK' ranges of 4- and 5-tier shelving units, with weight capacities of up to 1000 kg per shelf!
Nick Graville, Visy’s Head of UK, commented: “We are delighted to be joining BHETA as a member because it gives us the opportunity to collaborate more closely with leading retailers, brands, and industry partners across the UK. Becoming part of such a respected trade association strengthens our commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable, and value‑driven solutions, while allowing us to contribute to and benefit from BHETA’s strong network, insights, and advocacy for the sector.”
BHETA's Sector Manager for DIY & Gardening, Steve Edwards, added: “It feels great to welcome Visy as a member. Their long-standing commitment to sustainability and innovation makes them a fantastic addition to the BHETA community, and we look forward to seeing them contribute to and benefit from the knowledge-sharing, networking, and collaboration that our association fosters.”
