
In honor the garden center’s 160th anniversary on the market, Dobbies Garden Centres has unveiled a new nationwide partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK. This collaboration will focus on educating the public about the positive impact of gardening on brain health while raising crucial funds to support dementia research. Through various initiatives, Dobbies aims to engage both customers and employees in supporting the cause and spreading awareness about the importance of cognitive well-being.
Dementia is currently the leading cause of death in the UK, with nearly one million people living with the condition. Through this initiative, Dobbies plans to engage both customers and employees in fundraising efforts while highlighting the positive impact of gardening on mental well-being and cognitive function.
Following a nationwide appeal for charity partners, Alzheimer’s Research UK was selected to work alongside Dobbies in this year-long initiative, set to launch in March 2025. The programme will focus on education, awareness, and community-driven fundraising activities.
