The Rainy Day Trust has received a major boost thanks to the remarkable generosity of exhibitors at Exclusively 2025, who donated nine pallets of stock valued at nearly £15,000.
The substantial contribution will help support the charity’s vital work with individuals in the home improvement and housewares industries facing hardship. Outgoing CEO Bryan Clover described the donations as “both remarkable and heart-warming,” adding, “We know only too well that the current market is difficult, so such generosity is really appreciated.”
These donations are more than just items - they're a lifeline. They play a crucial role in helping the Rainy Day Trust provide essential support to individuals across the home improvement and housewares sectors facing challenging times.
Major contributions came from well-known names including Addis Housewares and OXO, both of which have consistently supported the charity with significant stock donations. Acting interim CEO and Operations Director Roz Shabazz-Johnson also acknowledged the generosity of brands such as the Keeeper and Mepal, whose values align with those of the charity and demonstrate how supporters have the option to specify if they prefer product donations to be gifted to the local community to help those in need of essential items they may not otherwise be able to afford.
Rainy Day Trust Chairman Richard Drew joined the leadership team in expressing deep gratitude to every business that contributed, particularly in light of the current challenges facing the sector.
