Dunelm Delivers 4% Sales Growth in Final Quarter, Reaching £415 Million

Dunelm has reported strong sales growth, with total revenue rising by 4% to £415 million in the fourth quarter, driven by robust performance across both full-price products and seasonal promotions. Categories such as outdoor furniture and decorative garden items saw particularly high demand, aided by warm weather at both ends of the quarter.

On a full-year basis, total sales increased by 3.8% year-on-year to £1.77 billion. Online channels played a significant role, contributing 40% of overall sales. The company expects its annual profit to meet expectations, coming in at around £210 million.

To support its growth, Dunelm continued to expand its store network during the quarter, launching four new locations: a small-format superstore in Trowbridge, larger stores in Manchester and Southend, and a relocation to a bigger site in Peterborough - bringing the total to six new superstores opened over the year.

In addition to its retail growth, Dunelm acquired the Designers Guild brand and design archive and announced that Clo Moriarty will take over as chief executive following the planned retirement of Nick Wilkinson after seven years in the role.
