Swedish SDA supplier, Ankarsrum, has become a member of BHETA.
The Ankarsrum Assistant Original is an icon of Swedish craftsmanship with roots stretching back to 1940. Originally designed by industrial designer Alvar Lenning, each machine is manufactured in Sweden, built with a commitment to quality, durability and functionality.
Its timeless design blends Scandinavian aesthetics with thoughtful engineering. With its elegant form and practical versatility, it continues to earn its place in modern kitchens around the world – a classic tool, built for the future.
The Ankarsrum ‘food mixer’ was conceived in wartime as a means for ‘nothing to go to waste’. This original idea then evolved to aid consumers who needed ease and convenience in food preparation. In subsequent decades, additional features were added, and the concept was increasingly exported. In the early 2000s the Ankarsrum Assistant Original even became a main character on children’s TV.
In 2017, the current model of assistant N30 was launched, which comes with a powerful 1500 watt motor in the base of the unit for guaranteed stability. The extended seven-year warranty, 5Kg capacity bowl and dough roller all make the Ankarsrum ideal in a consumer or commercial setting.
Accessory pasta rollers were also launched, in collaboration with Italian brand Marcato. Today, Ankarsrum Assistant Original continues to evolve and is now available in over 25 countries.
