Helping your business grow

Our Export Committee, formed in June 2017, draws on the knowledge of some of BHETA’s most experienced exporters to forge working relationships with organisations that can offer the greatest support and export opportunities to BHETA members.

Together with the committee, BHETA have established relationships with international trading authorities, overseas exhibition organisers, Chambers of Commerce and the Department for International Trade. In 2013, BHETA gained accreditation as a Trade Challenge Partner, authorising the association to distribute Trade Access Programme Grants for overseas exhibitions, supporting its members from the home improvement, garden and housewares sectors to help increase exports and UK business opportunities overseas. Why not download the BHETA export brochure, to see how we can put you in touch with new UK products, brands and suppliers?

Department for International Trade

The Department for International Trade (DIT) works with over 100 Trade Challenge Partners and has a collective membership of around 70,000.

Export events

BHETA works closely with the DIT and represents and supports its members to help increase exports and UK businesses opportunities overseas.

BHETA runs regular export forums that combine case studies from BHETA’s many successful exporting members with advice from the DIT and International Chambers of Commerce.

Aimed at companies already down the track with export, through to those exploring the opportunities for the first time, the events cover opportunities for overseas missions, international shows, and grant availability.
