The Rainy Day Trust (RDT) is pulling together a Facebook Lockdown Street Fayre on Thu 18th and Fri 19th June to raise funds. The RDT is the UK's only charity supporting the home improvement workforce and their families in times of need The Facebook-based Street Fayre will sell the various items that have been generously donated by various businesses. The RDT also want to invite businesses to take part to try and generate extra sales business for them.
The concept is simple:
1. RDT build an event page on Facebook and send suppliers the details. They plan to start at 1000. Just send a jpg of your logo if you have one.
2. On 18th and 19th June you post your first post that says who you are and what you sell. Then post your products, either with a link to your own website if you have one, or with prices and how people can buy from you.
3. Spread your posts out throughout the day.
You will need to be able to accept online orders. If you can't take part to sell your products to the public, then maybe you could donate unwanted stock to the RDT to sell. The RDT do not intend to charge a fee, but if suppliers wish to make a donation afterwards if the event is successful, then that would be great. That could be cash or products. To get involved please contact Bryan Clover:Bryan Clover FRSAChief Executive OfficerRainy Day TrustTel: 01527 872545 Mob: 07939 541289e-mail: bryan@rainydaytrust.org.uk
