Following recent speculation regarding its future, it has been confirmed that bathroom retailer Bathstore has collapsed into administration.Administrators BDO advised that the company was continuing to trade but installations have stopped while the company seeks a buyer for the business.Ryan Grant, BDO business restructuring partner, said: "Despite significant investment into the business over the past five years, Bathstore has struggled to overcome the well-documented challenges facing the UK retail sector."The appointment was made after several months of difficult trading, and the failure of ongoing talks to find a buyer for the business."Over 500 jobs and 135 stores are at risk.Bathstore's Twitter and Instagram accounts have disappeared from their respective platforms.Hilco, which owns Homebase, reportedly has an interest in the business.Source : Insight DIY Team
