TARGET ACHIEVED.....The BHETA team are very proud to announce that we have walked, or ran, a total of 1,317 miles in our BHETA Lockdown Challenge, smashing our 1,018 extended target by a whole 299 extra miles for a great cause, The Rainy Day Trust. In the process we have raised over £1,000 and there is still time to sponsor us!Nicola Adams, Members Services Manager has said “The Rainy Day Trust is the only charity which exists solely to help people who work or have worked in the UK’s home improvement and enhancement industry, so it’s a great cause for BHETA to support. We are all hoping that the BHETA membership will continue to sponsor the team, so we can raise funds which are much needed in these difficult times”.The team aimed to collectively walk 1018 miles during lockdown, that being the distance between BHETA’s most northerly member, housewares manufacturer, Aydya based in Dundee and the most southerly, heating and plumbing supplier, Select Products based in Torbay. Initially the team were just going to walk the distance once, but because they started so well, they decided that despite the blisters they were going to double their efforts by making the journey twice; a target which they have done so well to achieve.Nicola, who organised the challenge has said “Amazing results! Our target was 1018 miles and we have totally smashed it!
