Centurion Europe Appoint new Head of Sales

Centurion Europe, the Doncaster based supplier of DIY, Garden, Housewares and Safety products have announced the appointment of Simon Hutchinson as their new Head of Sales.

Simon brings with him a wealth of experience in leading a sales force. Previous roles include Commercial Manager at MGB Plastics and Senior Sales Manager at Lyreco for 17 years.

Simon will lead Centurion’s UK sales team at an exciting time as they push for further growth. Centurion are confident Simon’s knowledge of managing key accounts alongside a busy sales force will ensure growth targets are achieved. He has a keen focus on both new business and the penetration of existing customers – providing a solution sell along the way.

His experience will prove invaluable as Centurion continue to promote product ranges that include brands such as Mellerud, PestClear, Urfic, Andersons, Warmseal, Powerlines, as well as their own Centurion branded pre-packed hardware, ironmongery and Trade Packs and Value Pac ranges.

Centurion Europe Sales & Marketing Director, Peter Stone said: “Significant developments have been made internally as a business over the past 12 months and Simon will play a key part in ensuring our commercial strategy meets the needs of our customers as well as the business.”

Centurion have invested heavily in core areas of the business such as distribution which is currently undergoing a Warehouse Management System upgrade that will help us meet the increased demand for our products. Commenting on his appointment Simon Hutchinson said: “The exciting part about joining Centurion is the huge opportunity in the marketplace – currently we have an outstanding proposition but need to ensure there are definitive plans in place to ensure we have structure and focus to achieve our growth plan and strengthen our proposition and market share.”
