Rainy Day Trust Christmas Jumper Appeal – 10th December
The Rainy Day Trust (RDT) “would be chuffed to bits” if you could be part of their Christmas Campaign and support what they are trying to achieve. You can run a Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 10th December and get everyone to come to work in a festive jumper and donate £1 to the Charity. Or you could donate some stock for the RDT to sell and raise the money that the charity needs, to support colleagues from our industry who have fallen on hard times.
The RDT have set up a Just Giving page as in previous years, but you can also donate direct or send a cheque.
This year the Appeal is a little different: the RDT will still be sending out the food hampers and vouchers as usual because those classic problems still need to be tackled; giving people that are struggling that little extra makes a world of difference; but this year, the RDT want to really deal with the other issues that have become so prevalent in the last 18-24 months – social isolation and worry over electricity and gas bills.
So, on top of the food hampers, the RDT will also be offering our ‘Let’s Save Energy’ pack to our long-term beneficiaries as well as working with them to be part of our mental health programmes at what is a really difficult time of year.
The work that the RDT are embarking on now is making an enormous difference to the people that it touches, and you can be part of that positive impact. There is a wealth of evidence out there now that shows that younger people, your customers, are taking ever-greater interest in how companies respond to their corporate social responsibility. So why not join in and shout it from the rooftops?
The BHETA team will be taking part on Wednesday 8th December when we are all together in the office.
