Exclusively Digital Webinar – Wednesday 6th May at 2:30pm
BHETA, which owns the Exclusively Show, is to launch the week-long Exclusively Digital on 6th July as a replacement for 2020’s live show. All exhibitors who had booked into Exclusively 2020, which was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic have been invited to take part.
Exclusively Digital will take place on the Exclusively website and take the form of a showcase of new and innovative products that would otherwise have been on display at the live show. The showcase will be promoted to Exclusively’s database of 5,000 UK and international buyers, journalists, bloggers and influencers. Exhibitors will use their profile page in the exhibitor portal to upload pictures of up to five products or product ranges not previously seen by buyers, together with press releases and videos. A promotional campaign for Exclusively Digital will drive buyers and the media to visit the profile pages, through which they can get in touch with each exhibitor direct.
The topics to be included:
- Overview of Exclusively Digital
- Demonstration of how to add data to the exhibitor hub
- Opportunity to ask questions
Following the 15 minute presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions direct to Steve.

Wastepack Webinar – Thursday 7th May at 10:30am
In the March budget, the Government announced a new consultation on packaging tax that is planned for 2022. If you manufacture or import more than 10 tonnes of plastic packaging in a twelve month period, this will affect you and will increase your costs.
The closing date for comments on the consultation is 20 May 2020.
To explain more and keep our members informed we are pleased to announce that Wastepack are hosting a webinar for BHETA members on Thursday 7th May at 10:30am.
Join The Wastepack Group’s Policy Director, Paul Van Danzig, to find out more about the Plastic Packaging Tax who will be sharing information on the Government announcement that the tax on plastic packaging containing less than 30% recycled content will come into force in April 2022. Alongside this HMRC released a consultation on the detailed design and implementation of the tax which closes on 20 May.
During the session Paul will cover an overview of the Plastic Packaging Tax, looking at the scope, implications and the HMRC consultation. If you handle plastic packaging we recommend that you attend this webinar to keep abreast of the up and coming changes; it is important that you engage with the consultation as you may become jointly and severally liable as part of these new regulations.

Commenting on the new webinar programme, BHETA’s marketing manager, Steve Richardson said, “Since the coronavirus pandemic became a serious economic challenge for all members, BHETA has held two successful Credit Forum events online. It has also been advising on issues such as how to set up video conferencing accessibly and affordably and how best to manage remote working. The uptake has been considerable, so it was logical to extend the scope of the support via a webinars programme.”
BHETA’s Chief Operating Officer, Will Jones added, “In the current crisis, organisations need to adapt and maintain their ability to conduct presentations, meet buyers and hold normal business meetings. Even longer term, it makes sense for business to continue to communicate face-to-face online in terms of flexibility, cost-saving and the environment. We expect attendance to be high for the webinar programme and it’s great that technology is enabling us to keep talking and providing crucial advice.”
