BHETA extends a warm welcome to new DIY Committee member, George Brickwood, who will represent DIY members on the Committee in future.
George Brickwood was brought in to Schneider Electric in May 2019 as eCommerce Director UK&I, to support the growth of digitisation and eCommerce within the electrical distribution industry. George’s experience is derived from 20 years in the distribution sector, having worked for Wolseley UK in a number of commercial and operational roles, most recently leading the eCommerce strategy within the UK. In 2020, he was appointed to the board of EDA Data Services as Non-Executive Director to drive improved product data quality and deployment.
George said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to join the BHETA DIY Committee and to combine my experience with that of the existing members. The DIY sector is an area that deserves real focus, with so much opportunity now and in the future, this is a great time to ensure we are supporting the sustainable growth of our members.”
BHETA has five specialist committees for home improvement (DIY), housewares, small electrical appliances, EOSC (environment, operations & safety) and export, comprising senior representatives from leading member companies meet regularly to ensure that members receive best in class advice and support.
