Iconic French brand Peugeot Saveurs has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA). The company which started making pepper mills in 1840 has become an essential benchmark for gourmets and chefs alike and has expanded from tableware into bakeware, barware, knives and kitchen accessories. It now offers a wide selection of manual and electric salt, pepper and spice mills in sleek and elegant designs, both contemporary and traditional – and all with a lifetime guarantee. It also has a rang of coffee grinders and wine accessories including decanters, corkscrews and tasting glasses. More recently the Peugeot Saveurs name has started to appear on oven and bakeware, kitchen knives and kitchen giftware.

Online tools and fixings supplier, Metex has joined The British Home Enhancement Association. With UK and international manufacturing facilities, the company provides innovative construction, self-build and DIY related products.
Its wide range includes Corefix fixing kits, a selection of sprayers for sanitising, valeting, construction and horticultural use, drainage and concreting tools and a pest control offering. The products are rigorously tested in ‘live’ construction situations before release to the DIY market and are available via the company’s own ecommerce site, and via its partnerships with B&Q, Screwfix, BES, Alltrade, cpc and Ironmongery Direct.
Tools distributor, Avron Trading Ltd sells over 800 products to the trade and DIY sectors across four different brands. Based in Slough, its UK customer base includes wholesalers, regional chains and multiples. It also exports widely via a network of overseas wholesalers and distributors
St Albans-based Edding (UK) Ltd is part of the German edding Gmbh and specialises in art supplies for professional, industrial home, office and school use. Products include marker pens and spray paints. In January 2021 it launched striking range of premium acrylic paints in a handy marker shape for easy, no-fuss painting.
Small domestic electrical supplier, the Smartwares Group has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).

Adhesives company, Henkel, famous for its Loctite, Pritt and Unibond brands has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA). The German company, whose UK headquarters are in Hemel Hempstead has over 900 employees in the UK and Ireland. In addition to its adhesives portfolio, it has high profile brands in beauty care and laundry and home care.

Europe’s leading decorating sundries manufacturer, Bartoline Ltd has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA). The privately owned family business, which dates back to 1876 is best known for paint solvents like white spirit, ready mixed and powder fillers, sugar soaps and paint strippers, as well as wood protection products, paraffin and BBQ lighting fluid.
Based in in Beverley, East Yorkshire, Bartoline employs 98 people. It was originally founded as a coal importer and exporter; but diversified into automotive and industrial lubricant blenders around 1900. It began to produce decorating products in the 1970’s as the burgeoning popularity of home DIY saw the proliferation of large multiple DIY retailers. In 1999, the company acquired wallcovering adhesive and filler manufacturer Modus Products, which enabled product expansion away from traditional solvent products into a wider array of decorating sundries.
The building of a completely new manufacturing plant in 2006 and the development of highly automated process equipment, together with many subsequent investments since has enabled an ambitious expansion plan resulting in a five-fold increase in sales within the UK through retail, wholesale and trade outlets – as well as private label.
