BHETA is particularly keen in these times of political and economic surprises to help members explore additional or alternative markets as a means of developing new business outside of existing channels. Export is one of the most obvious options, but another is the commercial application of product previously only sold into retail – or the development of commercial equivalents. With this in mind, one of BHETA’s latest initiatives is collaboration with CESA (Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association) in its recent Light Equipment and Tableware Forum.
Staged at the Drayton Manor Hotel on April 25 and 26, the event attracted 25 key catering equipment distributors keen to see the latest product ideas and demonstrations. BHETA was at the event as well as five of its members, looking to understand more about the opportunities presented by the foodservice market.
