Following last month’s news that BHETA had secured discounts for yet another international show – this time Exhibitor Grants from the Department for International Trade to help towards the cost of exhibiting at the National Hardware Show Las Vegas – BHETA supported places have sold out already.
This phenomenal response follows massively positive reports from members on Ambiente, Cologne and most recently Chicago, plus a forceful campaign from BHETA on the need to diversify – one way being export.
Commenting on the latest sell out initiative Will Jones, BHETA’s housewares director who chairs the recently formed BHETA export committee, said, “This is a great endorsement for the importance of export for today’s supplier members. It’s just one of several forms of diversification we are promoting, but it’s one with huge potential, so this is brilliant.”
Home improvement director, Paul Grinsell, who will be attending the Las Vegas show on behalf of BHETA agreed. “BHETA is enabling some really positive export initiatives including trade missions such as the recent very successful sales push in Slovenia and its forthcoming follow up to Romania, so it’s great to see members making the most of opportunities. Export can seem daunting for companies not already involved, but BHETA is now offering some really practical support – including financial grants – as well as the in depth experience of existing members who are willing to share knowledge and best practice.”
