How to start in e-commerce
Objective: To help SMEs buy and develop e-commerce websites cost effectively
Suitable for: Members with no/limited e-commerce website
Timing: 25 minute presentation with 15 mins for questions
In the Summer of 2021, Google rolled out an algorithm update called “The Page Experience Update.” This aimed to bring a better experience to website users by prioritising sites in Google’s rankings that load faster and that are more stable. It introduces three new elements called Core Web Vitals.
Our webinar on ‘How to build an e-commerce website’ will go through these vital elements and explain the techniques that contemporary websites are using to meet the updated requirements. This information makes the session (on 2/11 at 10.30) an important one to attend, for pretty much any business that relies to any extent on their website.
This webinar will introduce BHETA members to the principles & process that any SME will need to understand in order to successfully scope and commission an effective website (whatever that means for you). It will offer a particular focus on the functional elements a business will need to consider when buying an e-commerce website, as opposed to a simple ‘brochureware’ site. Brew will outline the critical elements you’ll need to consider and, in some say, understand, if you are going to get value from a website building exercise.
Following the 30 minute presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Andrew.
