BHETA are delighted to bring you a four part Direct-to-Consumer workshop from JDS Strategists.
JDS Strategists has worked with many SMEs over the last two years, and what has become clear is the area that offers the most opportunity for attainable, profitable growth is Direct-to-Consumer.
But, through their engagements to date, they have exposed a crucial misunderstanding of what DTC actually involves, and how to do it successfully.
It is often dismissed as ‘just’ setting up an ecommerce website.
Which it is not.
It is often undervalued as ‘just’ a quick, cheap digital marketing tactic.
Which it is not.
And it is often seen as something that you ‘just’ plug into existing business operations.
Which it definitely is not.
Direct-to-Consumer must be considered as a primary part of your overall business strategy. Failure to do so is a one-way road to underwhelming results, wasted effort and investments, internal chaos and damaged retail relationships
In order to help you plan and fully understand the Direct-to-Consumer market JDS Strategists are providing BHETA members with a in depth four park workshop.
Join Jack Sweeney, Director, as he takes the time to fully explore the interconnections that you need to deliver incremental growth. (And to make sure you don’t end up just providing an ecomm agency a brief and wasting £1000’s on Facebook ads. Spoiler alert – they will take your money regardless of if it works or not!).
Part 1: Wednesday 27th April 2022 – 10:30am
Why Direct-to-Consumer and the 5 most common mistakes that are made.
The benefits of Direct-to-Consumer are well established at this point. However, it is also regularly misinterpreted and undervalued.
In the first instalment of this 4-part series, the founder of JDS Strategists Jack Sweeney will frame up why DTC, done right, is a critical part of overall business strategy; And then he will explore the 5 most common mistakes that are made, and how to avoid them!
Part 2: Thursday 5th May 2022 – 10:30am
Retailer relationships and why DTC is more than just Ecommerce.
Direct-to-Consumer is often misinterpreted as focussing on Ecommerce to the exclusion of all else. As a result, taking that step towards Direct-to-Consumer can be daunting, especially if you are primarily a retail distributed brand. And fear of disrupting your relationships can be a significant barrier to committing to the process.
In the second instalment of the JDS Strategists 4 part-workshop, founder Jack Sweeney and Ecommerce Lead Michael Ballard will outline why successful DTC Strategy is so much more than Ecommerce and how to navigate the transition (mostly!) conflict free.
Part 3: Wednesday 22nd June 2022 – 10:30am
Product & brand and their role in successful Direct-to-Consumer strategy.
When you combine misunderstanding of what true DTC strategy should be, and the oversimplification of ‘brand’ as a logo / typeface etc, the results are rarely good.
Brand is what your customers are saying about you when you are not in the room. It is your reputation, the sum of all the parts that make up your company. Therefore, if you ignore its importance in the build and implementation of Direct-to-Consumer strategy, you are missing a vital piece of the puzzle.
In the third instalment of the JDS Strategists 4 part-workshop founder Jack Sweeney, and Brand & Product Lead Jasmine Copping will explore the role of product and brand, and their importance to successful DTC Strategy.
Part 4: Wednesday 20th July 2022 – 10:30am
Bringing it all together and making it work.
In this fourth and final instalment of the JDS Strategists we will outline how to bring all the essential considerations of DTC Strategy together, to deliver true incremental profit.
Don’t miss out on this last in the series webinar.
