Strong Performances from ASOS and Primark

The resilience of clothing over Christmas has been further highlighted by strong performances from both ASOS (+10%) and Primark (+16%).

“Primark’s fast fashion model remains sharply relevant, even as rival value players, such as Peacocks, falter. It offers financially pressed young shoppers a way to be able keep up with the latest trends in a way few others do. Although ASOS’ future increasingly lies in growing internationally, its UK performance was once again pretty strong. Overall online growth seems to have been really impressive over the festive period, as consumers sought out value from the convenience of their homes.
